Constantin Liétard created a way for Twitter to play “Pokemon Red”

Just as the way Twitch plays Pokemon allows the world to comment and control Pokemon’s games, Liétard’s fixed tweets ask people to comment on Up, Down, Left, Right, A, B, Start or Select to control the game. Pokemon Red simulation game.

According to Liétard, comments are retrieved every 15 seconds, and the most commented input is sent to the game. Then, the current game state will automatically become Liétard’s 400×400 Twitter profile picture.

At the time of writing, Lietad’s Level 6 Spearow is fighting against level 11 peculiarities. Unfortunately, Spearow is currently suffering losses, so I hope Twitter can find a way to jointly rescue that Pokemon. Oh, if you are curious, Twitter did choose Squirtle as the starting Pokémon.

Liétard restarted the game several times to increase its popularity, so Liétard manually logged in to the game every night to save and ensure that the progress was not lost. There is also an official Discord server that allows interested people to chat about the progress of this Pokémon Red specific game. There have been more than 30,000 comments so far, and it would be very interesting to win the “Elite Four”.
