When will my power come back?Louisiana estimates



Some interruptions may last until next week.

City of New Orleans-Entergy sets an estimate of when cities and specific neighborhoods in Southeast Louisiana will regain power after Hurricane Zeta.

At the peak of the power outage, Hurricane Zeta damaged the power of nearly half a million customers in Louisiana. On Friday or Friday night, the staff has rekindled about 245,000 people.

This is Entergy’s list of estimates organized by parish:

Diocese recovery information as of Friday night

Diocese of Jefferson

  • Kenner (University City, Airport District and Rivertown)- Before the end of November 1
    (Sunday), most customers with electricity will be restored.
  • Metairie- The 17th Street Canal/Parish Line from Cleary Ave. to the north of Airline Dr. includes Old Metairie, Lakeside Mall, Bonnabel and Bucktown: Most customers who can receive electricity will be restored before the end of November 1 (Sunday).
  • Metairie- David Dr. to the north of Cleary Ave/West Metairie to the lake, including Clearview Shopping Center, East Jefferson Hospital, and the area near the Transcontinental area: Most of the customers who have access to electricity will restore electricity before the end of Monday, November 2.
  • Jefferson – Elmwood, located in Old Jefferson (Olmsner Jefferson Campus), Harahan (Harahan) and River Ridge (River Ridge): most of the customers who have access to electricity will be restored before the end of Monday, November 2.
  • Avondale: Most customers with electricity will be restored on November 2 (Monday).
  • Bridge City: Most customers with electricity will be restored on November 2 (Monday).
  • Wagman: On November 3 (Tuesday), most customers who can connect to electricity will be restored.
  • Gretna: Before November 1 (Sunday), most customers will be restored to power.

  • Carrollton: Most customers will resume on Monday, November 2. Carrollton includes East Carrollton, Leonidas, Hollygrove Dixon, Gert Town and the surrounding areas of Black Pearl.
  • Central Business District: All customers who can safely receive power have been restored.
  • central city: Most customers will resume on Sunday, November 1. Central cities include Central City, BW Cooper, Milan and Ferret and its surrounding areas.
