I have struggled with weight for most of my life. For most of my childhood, I have always been a short, chubby child, and I was bullied a lot, which made me believe that I was not worth money. These feelings lasted for many years.

After graduating from college, I worked at home. Before I knew it, there was a 350-pound scale at home that was misread. I have to use a scale in the doctor’s office. I reached a peak of 425 pounds.
I love my friends to death, but as I keep gaining weight, no one can say. I think they don’t want to hurt my feelings. Then, when everyone told me, my mood dropped suddenly. Depressed due to a bad relationship with food, I moved back to Brooklyn in 2007 to seek help.
Before changing my eating habits, I ate McDonald’s breakfast every Saturday and Sunday, which included several thousand calories. Dinner will include two liters of soda water. I might bring Chinese buffet close to me in business. My Starbucks order is to buy Venty Mocha Coffee Frappuccino twice a week.
Although I know this is not the healthiest, but I think it can be stopped, but you cannot stop this behavior. You need to determine what causes you to rely on food instead of the intended purpose of food. I started to build a better relationship with myself and eventually realized that there was no quick solution. I have to eat once at a time. In some cases, only one meal can be eaten at a time.
Over time, I was able to make my diet rich in clean protein, fruits and vegetables. I will look at what activities I did that day and think about what I need to eat to maintain my strength and energy. What are you going to charge yourself to help you accomplish what you want to do?

It was a personal challenge for me to drive another mile without stopping, and I reached this goal in two weeks. I also tried to go back to the gym, but it was counterproductive because I would persuade myself to quit and drive to the gym. To run, I just need to wear a seat belt and go.
Of course, there were a lot of walks at first, but I want to get there. By 2011, I became a weekend warrior jogger. At that time, a friend said that I might not be able to complete the Marathon in my hometown of New York City. This is not intentional, but it sowed the seeds.
It took three years, but in 2014, I crossed the finish line of the first marathon in New York.
Through changes in running and eating habits, my weight now reaches 170 pounds. I am 42 years old, faster, sportier and stronger than ever. My relationship is healthier, and now I am seriously considering hiring an Ironman before 2022.
For anyone who wants to make a similar journey, my advice is to make a plan that should sometimes only be used for the next 24 hours, rather than a whole week or month of challenges.
