V-Moda announced at CES 2021 a new version of its M-200 headset-M-200 ANC, which brings Bluetooth and active noise reduction to the classic V-Moda design. However, these additional prices will rise. The M-200 ANC starts at $499.99, which is $150 higher than the price of the wired noise-free version.
In appearance, the M-200 ANC looks very similar to its wired cousin, with iconic hexagonal design elements that have been a symbol of V-Moda headphones for many years. However, unlike the wired version, the driver has been changed to 40mm (from a 50mm drive), and there are some new buttons for controlling playback, power and pairing, and a USB-C port for charging. The M-200 ANC headset also weighs 320 grams (290 grams for the wired model).
As for noise reduction, we don’t know how the M-200 ANC measures the main pillars such as Sony and Bose before we try to test it for ourselves, but V-Moda provides so-called “hybrid active noise reduction.” And you can choose to adjust the noise cancellation level in the companion app. V-Moda also provides a “voice input” function, allowing users to cover the left earmuff with their hands to automatically reduce the volume and pause the noise cancellation function. As for battery life, V-Moda says that users should be able to charge for up to 20 hours.
Of course, considering the style of V-Moda, customers can choose to order custom aluminum shields in various colors and have their own logo or artwork engraved on it to achieve personalization.
The brand new M-200 ANC headset will be available today for $499.99.
