The Utah Department of Health reported 447 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, and as the number of vaccinated Utah continues to increase, there is another new death.
Vaccinations reported the day before/total vaccinations • 31,100 / 1,481,363.

Number of deaths reported in the past day •1.
The deceased was a 65-84-year-old man in Utah County at the time.
Hospitalization in the past day • 132. It is down six compared to Friday. Among the people currently hospitalized, 44 are in the intensive care unit, two fewer than last Friday.
Tests reported in the past day • 5,456 tested for the first time. A total of 12,801 were tested.
Percentage of positive tests • According to the state’s original method, the rolling average for 7 consecutive days is 6.8%.
The state’s new method counts all test results, including repeated tests on the same person. According to this indicator, the rolling average for seven consecutive days on Saturday is 3.4%.
Total so far • 386,997 cases; 2132 deaths; 15,593 hospitalizations; 2,405,866 tests.
