The airline announced on Thursday that United Airlines will begin offering flights from New York to London. After boarding, every passenger who boarded the plane must participate and pass a COVID-19 test.
From November 16th to December 11th, United Airlines will provide free express for every crew member and passenger over the age of 2 on certain Heathrow Airport round-trip travel from Newark, New Jersey to Heathrow Airport Test and fly anyone who refuses to test in a different position.
United States Chief Customer Officer Toby Enqvist said in a statement: “Through this pilot program, we will ensure that everyone on board has a negative test for COVID-19, which adds another element to our layered security approach. .”
The test of the day will be conducted on United Airlines Flight 14 departing from Newark at 7:15 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
According to the Washington Post, participating air travelers will be tested for Abbott ID NOW COVID-19. The test (which must be scheduled in advance) produces results in approximately 15 minutes.
United Airlines said the test site at Newark Airport is near gate C93.
Since October 15th, United Airlines has also been providing pre-flight COVID-19 testing for pilots flying from San Francisco to Hawaii.
Customers who undergo negative testing can waive Hawaii’s mandatory quarantine laws.
