Ubisoft today announced its own backward compatibility list to play older PS4 games on PS5. Ubisoft did not share a list of unsupported PS4 old games on Sony’s next-generation consoles, but instead tagged these games on its own website.
The French publisher stated that the following 9 games released for PS4 will not run on PS5:
- Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate
- Assassin’s Creed: Chronicles Trilogy
- Assassin’s Creed: Indian Chronicles
- Assassin’s Creed: Chronicles
- Star Trek: Crew
- Werewolves within
- Space fan
Interestingly, these games did not appear on Sony’s PS5 backward compatibility list, which currently has 10 titles, and the company said it cannot be used on new consoles. In contrast, the company said that all Ubisoft titles published on Xbox One will run on Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and S consoles.
Sony has previously stated that PS5 will support “the vast majority” of PS4 games, and it is expected that more than 4,000 games can be released on consoles on next-generation hardware, but these games will have some limitations.
The most surprising is the fact Star Trek: Crew with Space fan, These two PlayStation VR titles are said to be not backward compatible. Sony has said that the PS5 will support PlayStation VR, but you need a special adapter to use the headset with the new game console.
