The Biden administration announced on Saturday that the number of COVID-19 vaccinations in the United States in a single day has set a new record, with more than 4 million people being vaccinated.
White House COVID-19 data director Cyrus Shahpar said in a tweet posted on Saturday that 4.08 million doses have been administered in the past 24 hours. He pointed out that in the past week, this was the first time that the US averaged over 3 million doses per day.
“Wow, a record reporting day! The total dose reported yesterday was +4.08 million. The first day was 4M or more. In the past week, this was the first time that the average daily exceeded 3M.”

Data from Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that since Friday, the United States has received 4,081,959 doses of vaccine, bringing the average 7-day vaccination dose to 3,072,527 per day.
According to the agency’s vaccine tracker, a total of more than 161.6 million doses of vaccine have been vaccinated in the United States so far. More than 104 million people have received at least one dose, and nearly 60 million people have been fully vaccinated.
When the data is released, the government is working hard to speed up vaccination efforts to return to normal levels.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued guidelines on Friday, stating that fully vaccinated people do not have to be tested before or after traveling abroad. However, the agency still recommends wearing a mask and undergoing an inspection three to five days after international travel.
However, despite the encouraging news on vaccines, experts warn that the American public must remain vigilant to avoid another surge in cases across the country.
The number of cases has steadily increased in the past few weeks after the decrease after the winter vacation. According to the “New York Times” data, especially in Michigan, the number of cases has increased within two weeks.
According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 30 million Americans have been infected with the coronavirus and more than 550,000 have died.
