According to the New York Times quoted the doctor on Friday, a doctor in Boston who was allergic to shellfish had a severe allergic reaction after receiving Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine on Thursday.
According to the New York Times, Dr. Hossein Sadrzadeh, an expert on geriatric oncology at Boston Medical Center, said that he had a severe reaction almost immediately after the vaccination, with dizziness and rapid heartbeat.
This is the first serious response related to the disclosure of the Moderna vaccine, and this is the first week of nationwide promotion.
In a statement on Friday, Boston Medical Center spokesperson David Kibbe said that Dr. Sadrzadeh “feels that he is experiencing an allergic reaction and is allowed to manage his own potty. He was taken to the emergency room, evaluated, treated, observed and discharged. He performed well today.”
An official from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said last week that the FDA is investigating five types of allergic reactions that occurred after using Pfizer and BioNTech SE’s COVID-19 vaccine in the United States.
