Ty Gibbs made his dazzling national series debut on Saturday, winning his first NASCAR Xfinity series starter, on the road circuit of Daytona International Speedway Both overtimes were supported by Austin Cindric (Austin Cindric).

The 18-year-old Gibbs led 14 laps out of 56 laps of the 54th Joe Gibbs racing Toyota Toyota. Gibbs is the grandson of his Hall of Fame boss, he is the eight-time champion of the ARCA Menards series, and Saturday is his first NASCAR national series.

The defending series champion Cindric won the championship in a crash at the end of the first stage and finished second. His 22nd team, Penske Ford, sat 1.726 seconds behind the checkered flag. Daniel Hemric, Brandon Jones and Jeb Burton ranked in the top five.
The pre-match favorites Cindric and AJ Allmendinger took the lead early, but crashed at the end of the first stage. Allmendinger’s No. 16 Kaulig Racing suffered the biggest loss. He lost a few laps in the 35th place in the 40-car category. Cindric drove through the contact and won the first stage of the race. Despite the damage to the front right, the rally was late.

The next race of the Xfinity series is the Contender Boats 250, which is scheduled for next Saturday (4:30 pm EST, FS1, FSN, SiriusXM EST) at Homestead-Miami Circuit.
