Fort Worth (CBSDFW.COM) – On Friday, December 25, the Tarrant County Medical Inspector’s Office confirmed the identities of the two men who were killed in a small plane crash in the Prairie on Monday, December 21.
John Robert Frazier, 65, of the Trophy Club, and Larry Ronald Vieregge, 71, of Grapevine, died at the scene shortly before 3:00 pm when the plane crashed along the SH 360 service road on Mayfield Road.
It is not clear which person is the pilot and which person is the passenger.
The head of the Prairie Fire Department Robert Fite said Monday that the plane took off from the Prairie Municipal Airport a few minutes before the crash.
Witnesses said the plane hit a telephone pole and then a truck, parked near the sonic parking lot, where it caught fire.

The people in the truck were taken to the hospital in a stable condition.

Fett said the plane caught fire after the sound wave drove into the grass near the restaurant to rest.
Fett said: “The plane was obviously troubled when it fell.” “We don’t know if it was an emergency landing or a catastrophic failure.”
