Twitch replaced Metallica’s BlizzCon concert with lively non-heavy metal music

At the end of the BlizzCon 2021 opening ceremony, the band gave a special performance to Metallica fans, and the audience watching on the official Twitch Gaming channel will be deemed to be able to avoid using the heaviest metal music to avoid DMCA after Metallica starts playing Soon, Twitch switched to royalty-free music to avoid DMCA collapse, which imaginatively led to an interesting moment, which was captured by @Slasher on Twitter.

Twitch does not appear to have the proper rights to allow music to be played on its channel. Fortunately, the concert and music played as expected in other Twitch channels such as Blizzard’s own channel and the official BlizzCon live broadcast on YouTube.

The removal of the DMCA is a huge problem for Twitch live streaming. Twitch even admits that it has a poor ability to deal with this situation and promises to introduce better tools.
