Tornado Clock leaves Berks, Tri-County areas unscathed, but rain on the way



Berks and surrounding areas can expect sunny thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for Berks County and the surrounding area on Saturday afternoon, but the brunt of the storm missed Berks, according to meteorologist Alan Reppert with AccuWeather near the State College

York, Lancaster and Coatesville the heaviest rains and reports of some hail, "said Reppert." There were no heavy weather reports on Berks County; the strongest winds were only 15 miles per hour.

The Tornado Watch included Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery Counties and Philadelphia, after serving in Mount Holly, NJ
