On Thursday, California opened up the COVID-19 vaccine to these 50 and more people. Hundreds of newly recruited qualified people all over Golden State are looking for appointments online.

We have heard news from many readers who tried to make an appointment yesterday, but to no avail. There are also readers who are eligible to participate for a few weeks but have not yet received a spot.

Jo Sellers wrote in an article: “Trying to receive a 64-year-old key staff member with a history of cancer for COVID vaccination. After trying every day for three weeks, no findings were found within 30 miles of the Bay Area. Anything, this is the most frustrating experience in my life. A SFGATE reader failed to find a date through his provider, pharmacy and MyTurn. Then, he found a site called vacsspotter.org, which tried to track all available appointments across the state.

“The appointment in San Mateo-I live in Milpitas-popped up at the Rite-Aide pharmacy. But when I clicked on their website, they let me choose any location in Rite-Aide and I got The date on April 7th begins where I live.” Joel Ransom
