Yocheved Gourarie, a 24-year-old Orthodox Jewish woman from Crown Heights, Brooklyn, jumped off a boat in Hudson Yards and died. She left her suicide note. She was prearranged to upload it to Instagram automatically before her death. After suicide, she arranged a heartbreaking farewell post on Instagram to assure her family and friends that they did everything they could.
According to reports, EMS announced that Gulali was dead at the scene after receiving a 911 call.
In her last Instagram post, she first told readers to “presumably sit down” if they don’t know what happened now.
She also assured people, “Compared to without you, all of you have made my life more full, bright and happy. Your support, encouragement, hugs, invitations, smiles, words, you mark me in the meme , You think I would find it interesting.”
“In order to prevent this from happening, you have nothing you can do, you can even do more. You have done your best and I am grateful for that. I hope you will be comforted when I know that I am no longer suffering. .”
Her father, Avremi, posted a photo of a puppy on his Instagram on Friday, stating that she is “the cutest, most beautiful and kindest’puppy’ that my father hopes for”. He also shared Yocheved’s experience at the “Centre for Change”, “The Center for Change is a great living facility in Utah for women struggling with ED” [Eating Disorders]”We are just understanding how she gets along with others (in the factory) and how many lives touched her,” Afremi said. “Life will never be the same…it will take time to heal.
