Novi’s Suburban Collection Showplace will open on Saturday as a COVID-19 vaccination location. More than 300 employees of the Oakland County Health Department plan to vaccinate 3,000 people.
Those who want to be vaccinated will get Moderna injections. The county said in a press release on Thursday that all appointment vacancies are full.

The county health department received 7,200 doses of Moderna vaccine this week, which is the largest vaccine dose received in any week since the vaccine came out in December.

The vaccine will be administered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This is the first time the district has received one of the county’s vaccination clinics. Other clinics in Oakland County used to be through train locations such as the Fire Department.
The suburban select exhibition hall was previously selected as the location of a regional field hospital for COVID-19 patients.

This is the largest venue used for vaccination in Oakland County.
In Detroit, the TCF Center garage is used to vaccinate qualified Detroit residents, and more than 1,000 people are scheduled to be vaccinated every day this week.
The Oakland County Health Department will also vaccinate more than 500 people at its direct vaccination clinic in Southfield on Saturday. According to the county’s announcement, the appointment of the location is also full.
