In the past few months, there have been rumors that Tesla will soon provide a single-motor standard range version of Model Y to match its SR + Model 3 sedan. Elon Musk seemed interested in this idea, but last week the company cancelled the price of the Model Y Standard Range, which is priced at $41,990, which is lower than the price of the dual-motor Model Y Long Range For $8,000, the latter is the main choice for most buyers up to now.
The first question everyone asks is, what is the difference in scope? There are many answers to this. The Y-type long-range range is rated at 326 miles. Standard scope? 244 miles is a difference of 82 miles, which is very important. For example, it covers the entire range of the first-generation Nissan LEAF. Now that there are options, it will be interesting to see how many people order the standard range and how many order the long range range. One of us Clean technology The crew has made a choice.
The top speed of SR and LR are the same (135 mph), but the speed of LR has increased by half a second (60 seconds), or 4.8 seconds (5.3 seconds), reaching 60 mph. Other than that, these cars are actually the same. Less range, less money. The scope is larger and the funds are more. Choose whatever suits your wallet and your lifestyle, and make yourself happy.
No matter which version you choose, it will be listed for the first time as a 7-seater passenger car at a price of US$3,000. Now, we will see if full-size adults can actually sit there. Some people doubt it.
No, because the range is too low (EPA is less than 250 miles)

In July last year, Musk said that the standard range version of the Model Y could not travel long enough on a single charge, which was unacceptable. Obviously, something made him change his mind. Maybe the demand is too strong to ignore. After all, the first principle of marketing is to provide customers with what they want.
The Model Y SR is likely to become Tesla’s best-selling car. We know that there is at least one person who wants it. How much is there? “We will wait and see.” The Zen Master said.
