The remake of “Final Fantasy 7” may be released for PS Plus in March, but it cannot be upgraded to the PS5 version

The PS4 version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake may launch PS Plus in March next year (at least in Japan), but it will not be upgraded to the new PS5 version for free. Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade contains small fonts, indicating that the original PS4 game will be added to PS Plus, with strange details, that is, small fonts indicate that it will be added on March 1st (ie next week). After a rough translation, the list added: “The PlayStation 4 version’FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE’ obtained by subscribing to PlayStation Plus as a free game cannot be upgraded to the PlayStation 5 version.”

It is worth pointing out that PS Plus games in Japan may be different from games in other regions. We have contacted Sony and Square Enix for comments. The Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade was announced in the PlayStation Status Game yesterday and will provide free upgrades (with saved game transfers) for users who have purchased the Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PS4. It seems that the privilege does not extend to users who claim to use the PS Plus version.

Intergrade is an extended version of FF7 Remake, with performance and graphics modes, improved textures, fog effects, lighting and faster loading time, as well as a new photo mode and support for the haptic feedback of the DualSense controller. In addition to Intergrade, additional episodes featuring Yuffie will be released, only for owners of the PS5 version of the game.
