According to The Times, the IT consultant used “Tony” to go to people near Antioch, Tennessee. He told a client that he would retire three weeks before the explosion occurred on Friday morning.

The audio then switched to the recording of Petula Clark’s 1964 hit single “Downtown”. Shortly thereafter, the RV exploded at 6:30 am local time, just one block from AT&T’s landmark office building.

The explosion damaged dozens of buildings and injured three people, but only killed Warner. While the company is working to restore services, bomb attacks continue to cause severe damage to cell phone services and police and hospital communications in several southern states.

Officials announced on Sunday that they believed Warner was acting alone, but did not publicly announce the motive for the attack. Authorities said Warner was not known to law enforcement agencies before the explosion.

Warner’s public records show that he has experience in electronics and alarms, and has also served as a computer consultant for Nashville real estate agents. Since at least Saturday (Saturday) federal and local investigators brought the bombs together, Warner has been regarded as an important figure in the bombing.
