The 2020 season has not yet been planned, but the Eagles rank first in the department and are starting to get healthy.
The Hawks activated Dallas Goedert’s 21-day practice window on Wednesday morning, which was his first step back into the game. Since September 29, Goedert has been undergoing IR treatment and suffered a broken ankle.
Earlier this week, the Eagles activated the practice window for the other four players on IR. Therefore, this week they will have 5 players practicing on IR, and they are ready to face the Cowboys in Sunday night football game:
- TE Dallas Goedert (ankle)
- WR Jalen Reagor (thumb)
- T Jason Peters (foot)
- S Rudy Ford (hamstring)
- LB TJ Edwards (hamstring)
Although there is no guarantee that any of these guys will play on Sunday, at least one or a few couples may return. The Eagles had a small practice earlier this week, but today, tomorrow and Friday will resume normal three-day games.
These participants will remain on IR until a decision is made. In three weeks, the Eagles will have to decide whether to activate them or put them on IR for the rest of the season.
There seems to be some good news on the Reagor front:
It would also be huge to get Goedert back, especially if Zach Ertz is out. Ertz was put back into IR on October 22 due to an ankle injury, so he has to wait until at least the 12th week, and maybe even longer.
Before the injury, Goldt played in three games, had 13 catches for 138 yards, and scored on the ground. In Week 1, he achieved the best performance of his career, scoring 101 yards in eight passes and facing Washington.
