The Conference Board's Leading Economic Index continued its recent series of gains, rising 0.4% in April, the Conference Board said Thursday.
The index – which takes into account 10 different components, such as new orders and stock prices – came in at 109.4 for last month. In March he rose by the same percentage.

The Coincident Economic Index continued to rise, gaining 0.3% at 103.5. The Lagging Economic Index of the Conference Board was 0.3% higher at 104.7. It had fallen in March but has risen in February.
