The Milwaukee Bucks absolutely defeated the Miami Heat in the rematch of the Eastern Conference Finals last season, breaking the record for most three-pointers created by a team in 29 single games. This year, the Bucks regained the championship of the new season with a major victory of 1

44-97.

The record itself was broken with six minutes left in the game. Milwaukee’s second-round draft pick Sam Merrill took the ball to the court and decided to shoot from the left corner of the arc, making the team its 28th three-pointer.

In addition to breaking the previous team record held by the Houston Rockets, the Bucks also set a new record, creating the most players with 12 points from three-pointers. Ironically, the only three-pointer who did not beat Tuesday’s title victory was defending champion Mian Giannis Antetokounmpo. Although he did not miss any two attempts, it was not because of a lack of attempts. Jrue Holiday led all his teammates to score with 6 three-pointers.

For fun, here are all the players who scored three-pointers for Milwaukee on Tuesday: Holiday, Merrill Lynch, Christine Middleton, Brook Lopez, Donte Divincenzo, Bobby Portis, DJ Wilson, Tanasis Antocumpo, Jordan Nuwara, Pat Connaughton, DJ Augustine and Brin Forbes.

If the Heat find themselves particularly annoyed or embarrassed about getting the Bucks fully kicked into the game, they won’t have to wait a long time to retaliate. Tomorrow night Miami will contact Milwaukee again.
