The Milwaukee Bucks ensure that Jrue Holiday will not be anywhere anytime soon. After trading defensive point guards during the offseason, the two parties agreed to reach a four-year maximum contract extension through sports agent Shams Charania, with a contract value of up to 1

60 million US dollars. According to Charania, the new deal includes player options for the final year.

Holiday is arguably the best season of his career, averaging 17 points, 5.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game, the latter being the second best in the league. His field goal percentage is also a career-high 50.9%, and his three-pointer percentage is 39%. His defensive performance on the perimeter was the reason Milwaukee first traded him, because he was an upgraded version of George Hill and Eric Bledsoe. Both George Hill and Eric Bledsoe were trading. Two guards replaced in the middle.

The 12-year veteran player will become an unrestricted free agent after the 2021-22 season, but this new maximum extension means he will be locked in with the Bucks for a long time. The holiday in Milwaukee did a miracle for his game (Giannis and the entire Bucks). It is obvious how important Holiday is to the Bucks after he was eliminated 10 games, and they only have 5-5 games. During this period, the Bucks ranked 17th in defense and 10th in offense. But when the holiday team is playing, they have the top five offenses and top ten defenses in the league.

In addition to Guinness Antetokounmpo and Chris Middleton, he also made Milwaukee another creator on the offensive end, and he eased the offensive burden on these two stars every night. In return, Holiday does not have to be as overly dependent as he was in New Orleans, so his turnover rate has dropped to a career low (12.2%), and his usage rate is the lowest since the league’s third year (21.4%).

The holiday has always been the best balance point for the Bucks, and vice versa. Although the Milwaukee team did not win as fast as in the past few seasons, they seem to be more capable of overcoming this difficulty and reaching the NBA Finals. The Bucks extended their vacation to four years. In addition to allowing Giannis and Middleton to sign a long-term contract, this also helped them maintain their title in the next few years.
