According to local reports, the daily coronavirus cases in North Carolina reached a new high on Wednesday.
Local news station WRAL reported that on Wednesday, Talhail State had an average of 2221 new COVID-19 cases every day. Set a new high for three consecutive days.
Overall, to date, North Carolina has confirmed more than 266,000 COVID-19 cases under WRAL, with an increase of 2,253 cases on Wednesday alone.
The state’s death toll has exceeded 4,200, and hospitalizations are on the rise. More than 1,000 people are currently hospitalized for COVID-19, and according to media reports, this is the highest rolling average of daily hospitalizations since the coronavirus first affected the state.
