The new iPad, recently launched in India, has probably outdone itself. The cheaper iPad (at least according to Apple's standard) is probably the budget tablet with which we have been playing around for a very long time. What's impressive is that it surpasses any Android tablet in terms of performance, reliability, and ease of use. On top of that, Apple has also backed Apple Pencil, which is likely to be the biggest change that ever came to the cheaper model. Here's how the tablet works for us and why we thought it all.
Design and Display
The iPad 2018 is the same design as the previous year's model. It has the same body, which means that your previous accessories such as cover, stand and peripherals will work with this model. It picks up some hints from the iPad Pro; However, it still feels like last year. Its 9.7-inch screen size is probably the perfect size for a tablet as it's easy to travel and perfect for Netflix and YouTube.
The front of the new iPad looks the same with large bezels and a familiar home button. It has the TouchID fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button and pays homage to the classic Apple design. It weighs only 469g, which makes it easy to carry around in your backpack and is only 7.5mm thin.
The display used in the new iPad is still Retina display and has a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536. It uses an LED backlight and can produce fantastic colors. We used the device to watch videos at 1080p resolution, and we did not notice a wrong display of color or supersaturation. It has two speakers on the bottom of the tablet, which makes the job good enough for viewing odd jobs. If you want the ultimate viewing experience, we recommend connecting with AirPods (when you're on the go) or with a decent Bluetooth speaker.
This sounds good, but we were very disappointed that there is no smart connector for covers. You can use a Bluetooth keyboard to type in documents, but it would have been nice to see a smart connector that offers users an option to connect the smart keyboard. This can be annoying for some college students who like to take notes in the classroom, and we find that it is imperative to include a smart connector.
The iPad 2018 is equipped with Apple's A10 Fusion chip, first released in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 was 7 Plus. The Fusion chip is probably one of the most efficient SoCs out there and makes working on the new iPad good. Of course, it's not as efficient as the iPad Pro's A10X chip, but for everyday use, the A10 Fusion chip works well. The chipset has been paired with 2GB of RAM, which is more than enough to perform tasks and edit images on the fly. What's great about Apple chips is that they are specifically designed for iOS and are compatible with the A10 Fusion chip.
© MensXP_AkshayBhalla During our trial, we had no issues while operating two high-energy apps together. We used the Affinity Imaging App alongside Apple's Pages and we had no issues with multitasking. However, if you want to use more than two apps, we recommend that you buy the iPad Pro because it can handle heavier apps. The processor on the iPad 2018 is not the fastest processor from Apple, but it beats every Android tablet out there – even the best of the best.
Apple has probably changed the game for the tablet market, as the company's most affordable iPad is now compatible with Apple Pencil. The pen itself is probably the most useful accessory that anyone should invest in if they want to buy this tablet. It's the perfect gadget for college students because the Apple Pencil is superior to any other stylus for taking notes and even creating art.

You can use it to draw sketches if you are an art student, or you can take notes when you want to take physical notes. The Apple Pencil has to be bought separately and we think that it is important if you want to use this device for college or office work.
The Final Say
Although the new iPad is an entry-level tablet for Apple, it's probably still the best option for tablet buyers. It surpasses any Android tablet on the market and is the perfect gadget for students. It works together with the Apple Pencil and should be the biggest reason to buy the iPad 2018. The 6th generation iPad is currently being sold for 25,999 INR and we believe it's the best budget tablet you can buy today. We would have liked an intelligent connector for keyboard covers and some extra processing power, but it still feels like a complete tablet.
