TDH: 66,220 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Tennessee, 70 new cases locally | Guardian



The Tennessee Department of Health reported on Tuesday that 66,220 confirmed cases in the state and 568 confirmed cases in COVID-19, an increase of 1,514 cases since Monday.

The health department also announced 740 confirmed deaths, 3,378 hospitalizations and 38,272 rehabilitation. More than one million coronavirus tests have been conducted.

On Monday, TDH reported 64,737 confirmed cases and 537 confirmed deaths.

TDH reported on 70 new cases in our area on Tuesday: 29 in Sullivan County, 17 in Washington County, 12 in Carter County, 6 in Green County, 5 in Hawkins County, and 1

in Unikoi County. There are no new cases reported in Johnson County.

According to reports, there are sixteen new discoveries: 14 in Sullivan County, one in Hawkins and one in Washington State.

According to TDH data, there are currently 463 active cases in northeastern Tennessee, up from 409 on Monday.
