Springfield-Green County Department of Health reports 3 new deaths related to COVID-19



Springfield, Missouri (KY3)-

The Springfield-Green County Health Department reported three other COVID-19-related deaths on Wednesday.

Health leaders said the victims included a man in his 40s related to long-term care, a woman in his 70s related to long-term care, and a man in his 90s. All victims suffer from underlying health conditions. Elderly people and people of any age with basic health conditions may develop more serious diseases due to COVID-19.

“Unfortunately, this virus continues to show us that no one is immune, especially those who are at high risk. Those with a healthy foundation, many years before them, are dying,”

; Health Minister Clyde · Goddard said. “We have each other’s responsibility to practice observation distance truthfully, wear masks, wash hands and stay home when we are sick.”

The county health leader reported 19 cases of COVID-19 in September. Since the pandemic, 49 residents of Greene County have died of the virus.
