Springfield, Missouri (KY3)-
The Springfield-Green County Health Department reported three other COVID-19-related deaths on Wednesday.
Health leaders said the victims included a man in his 40s related to long-term care, a woman in his 70s related to long-term care, and a man in his 90s. All victims suffer from underlying health conditions. Elderly people and people of any age with basic health conditions may develop more serious diseases due to COVID-19.
“Unfortunately, this virus continues to show us that no one is immune, especially those who are at high risk. Those with a healthy foundation, many years before them, are dying,”
The county health leader reported 19 cases of COVID-19 in September. Since the pandemic, 49 residents of Greene County have died of the virus.
