When Spotify is not busy adding things that nobody wants (such as Instagram-like stories or exclusive podcasts), the company sometimes improves existing features. It looks like the Android playlist will be updated next. Some people on the Spotify subreddit report that they can now adjust the cover art and subtitles of the playlist, as well as change the title and song order.
These new editing options appear to be currently being tested and are not yet widely used.To check if you have had fun, open a playlist, click the three-dot overflow menu in the upper right corner, and select edit. Then, you should see options to change the image and subtitles. If you are limited to adjusting the title and song order, then the server-side update has not yet been rolled out.
Remaining: Old editing options for playlists. Correct: New editing options.
For a long time, when Spotify users wanted to edit their playlists correctly, they could only use the desktop application. Although the basic options have existed on Android for some time, this is the first step towards equal functionality on the web and Android applications. On iOS, these advanced playlist editing options seem to be widely used.
You can download the latest version of Spotify from the Play Store. Keep in mind that advanced playlist editing is launched as a server-side update, so even if you are using the latest version, it may be excluded.
