SpaceX rocket fragments were found in Washington State after streaks in the night sky

An officer of the sheriff said that some SpaceX rockets were spotted in Washington State last weekend. A few days later, bright comet-like streaks illuminated the night sky over the Northwest Pacific.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office said on Twitter on Friday that the space company recovered “composite-wrapped pressure vessels and returned to the space capsule from last week’s Falcon 9”.

Last weekend, the ship was about 5 feet tall and was found on private property in the southwestern part of Grant County in the central state.

The Sheriff’s Department Press Officer Kyle Foreman said that it did not cause any damage and that it left a 4 to 5 inch impact mark on the ground. He said that he notified SpaceX on Monday and arrived at SpaceX on Tuesday.

The exact whereabouts were not disclosed. The Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet: “Media and treasure hunters: We did not disclose the specifics. The owner just wanted to be alone.” The Three Cities Herald reported that it landed on a farmer’s field.

On March 25, stripes appeared over Washington and Oregon. Some people think they come from meteors or comets.

It seems that SpaceX has never publicly confirmed its rocket participation. But signs quickly showed this.

The Seattle National Weather Service said on Twitter that, according to unofficial information, “the bright object widely reported in the sky is debris from the second stage of the Falcon 9 rocket, which failed to burn out of orbit,” an astronomer told. Seattle NBC subsidiary KING, this is a fragment of the Falcon 9 rocket.

On Friday night, SpaceX did not respond to a request for comment.

There were no reports of damage caused in the 25th game. The foreman said that no other debris was reported to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

The Falcon 9 is a reusable two-stage rocket. The payload is delivered in the second phase. The first phase aims to return to the earth and land. According to the company’s website, so far, 111 Falcon 9s have been launched 71 times.

The foreman said that his understanding was that the pressure vessel found was used for helium storage.
