GATESVILLE (KWTX), Texas-The son of Coryell County Sheriff Scott Williams was released on Wednesday after being arrested and charged with domestic violence and possession of marijuana.
Gatesville Police Chief Nathan Gholke (Nathan Gholke) said Wednesday that Samuel Williams, 27, was arrested at about 8:30 pm on Monday after the police had called for domestic violence. Was sent to a house in Gatesville.
Coryell County Magistrate Coy Latham convicted a Class A misdemeanor of personal injury/domestic violence, possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana, and a Class B misdemeanor.
Records show that Williams was booked to Corrill County Prison on Monday night and was released after the bond was issued on Tuesday.
Scott Williams said that he had talked with the prosecutor to ensure that his son was treated the same as any other defendant.
