San Diego Stadium violated county health order and is now linked to the coronavirus outbreak



Officials said a stadium in San Diego that refused to comply with the state’s order to close due to the coronavirus is now related to the community outbreak.

Although the authorities would not disclose how many people were infected with COVID-19, a community outbreak is defined as three or more positive cases in different families from the same location.

The gym does not comply with national regulations and can only operate outdoor fitness facilities.

Health officials ordered the facility to close immediately last week but refused.

According to Fox 40, the county’s chief public health officer, Dr. Wilma Wooten, said on Wednesday: “For some businesses, this requires a lot of action.” “We are with them. Close and they [did close] on Monday. “


The San Diego Police Department said it has not issued a citation to the company for violating a public health order.

Eight other community outbreaks were reported on Tuesday, five of which were from bars and restaurants, one in a nail salon and the other in a residence. KPBS reported that 20 community outbreaks were confirmed in the past 7 days.

At the same time, the county reported a recent rise in coronavirus cases, with a total of 28,005 cases and 547 deaths.
