New renderings of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy J4 (2018) have been released showing two color variants. Samsung has already confirmed that the new Galaxy J6 (2018) will make its first official appearance next Monday, May 21st. However, the company has plans for other Galaxy J brand devices, such as the new Galaxy J4, which has just leaked out thanks to the various press photos.
Samsung's budget offer on a more traditional 5.5-inch 16: 9 Remain AMOLED display. This means that thicker panels are placed around the display, although this allows the South Korean manufacturer to place a forward-looking fingerprint scanner under the display. In addition, there are capacitive buttons instead of screen alternatives. The upper display bezel features a 5 megapixel forward facing camera and an associated LED flash.
With a quick glance at the rear shell, there is a very simple plastic construction. This is adorned by a vertical camera module, which is believed to house a 1
3 megapixel rear sensor and an LED flash. To the right of the camera setup is a small rear-facing speaker. Another review of the design reveals a small slit on the left side of the panel, suggesting that the back of the unit will be removable to give the user access to the battery. Speaking of it, it is rumored to have a capacity of 3,000mAh.
Continuing with the internal details, the Galaxy J4 (2018) is also expected to clock Samsung's quad-core Exynos 7570 processor at a speed of 1.4 GHz. Depending on user preferences, this will be paired with 2GB or 3GB RAM, with the previous model having 16GB of memory and the latter 32GB. In any case, however, this will be expandable via microSD.
It's currently unclear when the new Galaxy J4 will go on sale, but considering that Samsung will launch a launch event for the more expensive Galaxy J6 (2018) next week, the smartphone may also be official at launch , suggesting that a release in early June could be possible.
