During the offseason, the Eagles’ receiving corps will continue to make a facelift.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Philadelphia will release Alshon Jeffery at the start of the new season next month.
Jeffery was a key component of the Eagles’ Super Bowl LII win, playing 12 games in the 2017 playoffs, 219 yards and three touchdowns. But since that year, he has not been able to play 16 games, from 13 games in 2018, to 10 games in 2019, and then to 7 games in 2020.
Jeffery passed 6 yards and 115 yards on a touchdown last season. He missed most of the year when he recovered from foot surgery during the offseason.
Jeffery (Jeffery) signed with the Eagles (Eagles) in December 2017 four years, the $52 million contract renewal contract has one season left. Between his five years in Chicago and four seasons in Philadelphia, he totaled 475 career games, received 6,786 yards and scored 46 touchdowns.
Last week, the Eagles announced that they would release DeSean Jackson, and the deal was made on Monday.
