The sixth grade is the first full year of the revised annual content plan of “Rainbow Six: Siege” and, as shown in the advertisement, it contains changes in the quality of life and overhaul of core functions. There are four new operators in the official roadmap, some map renovations, and promised activities – enough new toys to keep things fresh every season – but what the roadmap lacks is Ubisoft’s plan to fundamentally change every round The way the game is played out.
In the sixth grade game, Ubisoft announced its intention to reduce the downtime of the Rainbow Six Siege, giving attackers more work in the preparation phase, and allowing eliminated players to directly contribute to the outcome of the round. In addition, the sixth grade will also rework Mira, Maestro and Goyo to make health and armor more transparent, and generally rebalance the game so that offense feels as viable as defense.
Join us and relive all the announcements of Crimson Heist and 6th grade.
We will start with the title change (from Flores to Gonne-6 Middle School) from the release date of Operation Crimson Heist, and then move on to the 6th grade roadmap, as well as some game changes that Ubisoft is brewing.
In the first season of the sixth grade, Operation Crimson Heist introduced the Argentine attacker Flores, who was a medium-speed attacker with four special drones loaded with explosives. Flores has 10 seconds to guide each RCE-Ratero drone into position. After that, the drone will anchor in its position, become bulletproof, and explode after a few seconds. Each explosion seems to have an explosion radius similar to that of a nitrification battery, but since the drone will sound an alarm when it is parked, defenders will be given enough warning to evacuate the area.
Flores can manually trigger the anchoring phase of each drone at any point during the countdown. If the air is activated, the drone will anchor the next surface it touches. If you drop it from a high place, you can “cook” it a bit, giving the defender less reaction time. Ultimately, drones are more useful than killing enemies to open hatches and destroy gadgets such as shields and Maestro cams.
Flores can choose AR33 or SR-25 as his main weapon, but can only carry GSh-18 as his auxiliary weapon. In the end, he chose between secondary grenade and clay pistol.
Flores arrives with the remake of the popular map “Border”, which has recently been removed from the competitive game due to its obsolescence. The scale of the rework is similar to that of the clubhouse, and the map’s identification, key sites and processes are maintained.
So, what’s new? Bathrooms and tellers have now become feasible targets, bathrooms have been greatly expanded, and the scope of vertical entertainment has become smaller and smaller. The waiting room now has an internal balcony that connects the lounge to the east staircase. The archive has been opened to make it easier to defend against attacks from northern balconies and vehicles. There are more minor revisions, but it’s also worth noting that the map is now neater, with fewer fragments, and blurred vision-hope this doesn’t mean you will die from weird pixel peeks.
Gonne-6 and game replay
Y6S1 also adds a new auxiliary weapon for the attacker, called Gonne-6, which is a single-shot weapon that can destroy the defender’s gadgets, and it can also be used in the game replay system for PC players. Ubisoft said that because it is still in the testing phase, it is not yet suitable for host players.
Sixth grade operator and map
Although little is known about the remaining 6th graders, we do know that the operator for the second season is from Nakoda, an indigenous resident of the Great Plains. The operator was accompanied by a casual Favela rework. In the third season, we got a Croatian operator and three smaller map fans instead of doing large-scale rework. In the end, “Siege” received an Irish operator in the fourth quarter and reworked the inland areas.
Also promised to rework operators, and they all target utility-based defenders. Goyo lost the exploding shield. These will be replaced by similar explosive devices, which can be installed on the floor or against the wall like Jäger’s ADS. Like the previous design, they also have a metal casing, which can provide them with approximately 270 degrees of protection.

Both Mira and Maestro are doing rework, which affects their ability to provide Intel functionality. The plan is that an attacker who can mix in these devices will smash the glass and blur the defender’s vision – then Mira and Maestro will be forced to open their respective gadgets to make them useful again, or simply abandon the utility. . Melucci’s gadgets have also been maintained. When you trigger the banshee, it will open and can shoot and destroy it.
There are few details provided, but the team also mentioned the rework of Fuze and Finka. Fuze’s gadgets will become more useful, and Finka will be able to use Nanoboost to rejuvenate them.
Bulletproof cam rework
The bulletproof cam can now be fully rotated and EMP darts can be fired to disable the attacker’s gadgets and drones. The earlier version should be available in the Y6S2 test server.
One of the main goals of sixth grade is to reduce downtime, and Ubisoft aims to achieve this goal through two changes. The first is called “Attacker Smash” and it will allow anyone on the attacking team to switch their operators and loads during the preparation phase so that they can react to the defense team’s settings.
The second is called “post-death activities”, allowing players to use any remote control tool after being eliminated. It is not clear whether there are any restrictions, but the basic idea is that a dead defender like Castler can jump on the master’s cam and start stopping the attacker. For the attacker, this means that if you have been eliminated and a backup drone is still being deployed, you can fly your own drone on the map.
Armor and health
In order to increase transparency, some fine-tuning of the armor system has also been made so that you can clearly know how much additional health points the armor statistics provide you. Operators with one armor still have 100 lives, but those with two armors have 120 lives, and those with three armors have 140 lives. This will not change the number of shots you can shoot, but it does make the difference between high and low armor more transparent to the player.
The last major update is the full release of the Player Behavior System, which has been running in the background for several months, despite its limited capacity. Ubisoft did not specify which behaviors will affect your ranking, but the reputation system has five levels, and players can move up and down based on their behavior. At level 0, messages and warnings about player actions will appear, and there may be some impact, such as not being able to queue for higher-ranked matches. On the positive side of the levels, at levels 3 and 4, players will be rewarded, although we don’t know what these rewards are.
Streamer mode and menu maintenance
The streaming mode reaches the test server in Y6S1. This mode hides the player’s area, name, permission level, profile picture and other players in its lobby. This mode also adds a pairing delay to prevent the queue from being truncated.
The user interface and display of “Rainbow Six: Siege” have also been comprehensively improved, which is expected to make the navigation of the game menu faster and easier. Matchmaking, rankings and novice experience were also held at the forum, but Ubisoft did not provide any real details about how it plans to change these parts of “Siege.”
The sixth grade also canceled the annual pass, incorporating new operators in each season into the seasonal combat pass without paying additional fees. There is a strange gain, that is to extend the exclusive window of access to the new operator, so if you do not buy a new battle pass, you must wait two weeks before you can use R6 points or Renown to buy an operator.
Skins and crossovers
Finally, there are many changes in the way skins work in games. Elite skins will soon have some customization features, so you can mix them with other skins you like (including MVP animations and gadget skins). In the sixth year, some new collaboration skins will be launched, including the Zofia skin inspired by Jill Valentine in “Resident Evil” and the skin that seems to be a collaboration with Rick & Morty. Y6S1 also comes with a new Elite Skin suitable for Kali. Finally, E3 2019 queen Ikumi Nakamura is researching some cosmetics for the sixth grade, which is unexpected but very cool.
Siege board game? ? ?
