PS5 has a download queue error

The PS5 suffered a bug that caused games and apps to fall into a “queue to download” or error state, and the only current fix seems to be resetting the console to factory settings. The error – suffered by at least three members. Among the many reports that popped up, IGN staff seemed to have happened when setting up the product to download for the first time. This error seems to take two forms, either listing the game/app as “Queued for Download” or encountering a download error. Both will prompt you to check the “Download” menu and then display nothing.

The result is that your game is in trouble-it will not download, nor can it be cancelled and re-downloaded. In all cases of the IGN staff, the PS5 library will show that you own the game/app, but checking the PS5 store will show that you don’t own the game/app, requiring you to purchase it.A large number of reports are focused on hitting the cold war bug in the PS5 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops (it seems that the PS4 version is downloaded normally). Both IGN staff members, including me, encountered problems with the game. Another IGN staff member encountered the problem when trying to download Godfall, and we have seen reports of bugs that hit Demon̵

7;s Souls, Spider-Man: Remake, Sackboy: Adventure, and Disney + Application. So far, the bug seems to only affect games or apps with a specific PS5 version.

Activision recommended restoring the factory settings to those who were in contact with the “Call of Duty” issue, and it did solve the problem for IGN staff. Other users report that restoring factory settings can also solve the problem. Many people are reluctant to wipe their console and download the game again, but no other solution has been found at the time of writing.

Sony has not yet commented on this issue-we have contacted the company for comment.
