The Powerball jackpot in Wednesday’s lottery draw has jumped to about 550 million U.S. dollars, and the cash option is 411.4 million U.S. dollars, making it possible to become the 12th largest jackpot in US lottery history.

The odds for the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. Players who buy the $2 lottery ticket have 1 chance in 11,688,053 to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, and the odds of winning the third prize are 913,129 to 1. At least $50,000.

Powerball games are held on Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, Washington, DC, U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

The lottery also accepts claims by mail, although officials warn that payment may be temporarily delayed. It is recommended that the winners copy the claim form and winning lottery ticket as records.
