1. Learn how to turn off PS5
You might laugh at this first technique. How difficult is it to close your console? If you want to do this, I certainly won’t spend 10 minutes to find this option! It turns out that you need to press the PlayStation button in the middle of the controller; don’t press it down like on PS4. After clicking this button, a menu will pop up at the bottom of the screen and you will see the power icon on the far right. The menu wraps around, so moving left is faster.
You can also press the physical power button on the hardware itself; if it is placed vertically, it is at the bottom; if the PS5 is placed horizontally on the media console, it is at the far left.
2. Transfer files and games from PS4
If you are upgrading from PS4, you may need to transfer games, settings, and other files to the new console. You will be prompted to do this during the installation process, but if you skip it, you can go back and do it later. Before you start, it is best to plug the two consoles side by side and turn them on with an Ethernet cable to connect them (Wi-Fi can be used, but it will take longer).
When ready, go to Set value Then on PS5 System>System Software.select data transmission, carry on And choose your PS4.When Prepare for data transfer When it pops up, you need to press and hold the power button on the PS4 for a few seconds until it beeps.Select the content you want to move and select Start transfer.
3. Check how long you have been playing the game
Now, it’s easier than ever to know how many hours you spend playing PlayStation games.Select your avatar in the upper right corner of the PS5 main screen, then select personal information, then Games label. You will see the total match time next to each game and the trophy progress on the right.
4. Make sure you are playing the PS5 version of the game
You can play PS4 games on PS5, although it is great, but it can sometimes cause some confusion. Some older titles have been enhanced for newer consoles, so you need to make sure you are playing the updated version for the best experience. Look carefully at the game title on the main screen.Any PS4 version will say PS4 Beside it.You can also scroll right and select Game library, Then tap Sorting and filtering Icon and then filter your game by platform.
5. Adjust your controller settings
PS5’s DualSense controller is very good, it represents a real improvement of DualShock 4. The feel of the trigger and the range of vibration increase the sense of immersion, and it will dynamically change according to the actions on the screen. The default setting works for me, but if you want to reduce the vibration intensity or trigger the effect, please enter Settings>Accessories>Controller. Since you can use the old DualShock 4 controller to play PS4 games on the PS5, there is also an option to reduce the brightness of its indicator.
6. Get more realistic sound through 3D audio
The headline feature of PS5 is 3D audio, which allows game developers to associate sound effects with everything around to enhance the illusion that you are actually in the environment, but you need to use headphones or earplugs to make it work. 3D audio is on by default, so you should hear the difference immediately after plugging the headset into the controller, but you will need to calibrate your ears in the following way Settings>Sound>Audio output.Under options Enable 3D audio, select Adjust 3D audio profile Then choose the one that suits you best from the five available levels.
7. Play Astronomy Game RoomAnd delete it
Comes with every PS5 Astronomy Game Room It’s installed, it’s worth a try. This fun 3D platform game fully incorporates the PlayStation reference and can bring you warm and fuzzy nostalgia, but it also excels in showing off the features of the new DualSense controller. When it’s done, you can free up nearly 11 GB of storage space by finding and deleting it there. Settings>Storage>Console Storage>Games and Apps. Don’t worry, you can always download it again for free from the PlayStation Store.
8. Get more storage space
One of the ways for PS5 to improve on PS4 is to use lightning-like solid-state drives (SSD) for storage. The segmentation of games and the reduction in the need for duplicate data also means that the number of downloads of games should be reduced, but if you play a lot of different games, you can still fill 667 shows quickly. Sony has promised to activate the internal slot so that you can add an approved SSD card in the near future. Currently, you can insert an external SSD or HDD that supports USB 3.0 or higher into the USB port of the PS5. The problem is that you can only play PS4 games stored on that external drive.
9. Choose your game preset
You can save some time and configure the game to your liking by: Settings>Saved data>Game/application settings>Game presets. You can choose your favorite game difficulty, choose between performance or graphics quality, and adjust the camera movement of the first person and third person perspective, including the ability to set reverse controls by default.
