The director of track and field said: “We are fortunate to have an outstanding team of doctors and medical professionals who can provide us with daily consultations in this challenging environment.” Heather Lake Said. “Following their recommendations, our football plan will suspend all activities. Our statutes have enabled us to anticipate and manage these situations. Our top priority is always the health of student athletes, coaches and staff.

“Although I know our team is very excited and ready to play a game on Saturday, this is the right and responsible decision for our student athletes and faculty and staff,”

; Coach Pat Narducci Said. “We have excellent doctors in Pitt, who have provided us with the best guidance throughout the pandemic. Our team knows that we must be agile this year. We will continue to perform virtual assembly until we get the green light.”
