A passenger on a United Airlines flight caught the moment one of the aircraft’s engines caught fire and began to crash after leaving Denver, Colorado on Saturday.
Authorities said a pilot of United Airlines Flight 328 to Honolulu told the air traffic control department that the aircraft had “engine failure” after reporting it “probably a day.”

After a brief but painful takeoff, the crew of the plane managed to land safely in Denver.
The authorities asked residents of the Broomfield area to leave the metal parts that fell from the sky because investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board “hope that all debris remains in place for investigation.”
Broomfield police said there were no reports of injuries on Saturday.
