Throughout the NFC playoffs, the Packers are in a leading position in the competition for domestic advantage, but the game will continue until week 17.
The NFC top-seeded game will be determined on Sunday. Between the Packers, Saints and Seahawks, everyone will start the game at 4:25 pm Eastern time.
The simplest part is that the Packers have a 12-3 record in the NFC, so if they beat the Bears on Sunday, they will gain home court advantage.
But if the Packers lose to the Bears, then the 11-4 Saints and 11-4 Seahawks still have a chance. The Saints will win a three-way tie, so the loss of the Packers combined with the victory of the Saints and the victory of the Seahawks will give the Saints home field advantage.
The Seahawks will win two consecutive victories with the Packers, so the Seahawks’ victory, Packers’ loss and Saints’ loss will give the Seahawks home court advantage.
If the Packers, Saints and Seahawks all lose, the Packers will gain home court advantage.
For NFL fans, the good news is that none of the NFC’s top teams have gotten playoff seeds, so we should expect the best team to play all starts in Week 17.
