OnePlus updates most of its phones every two months, but even in the months when certain models do receive security patches, OTAs are usually released within a month (or more) after Google announces the fix. Sure enough, OnePlus Nord will now receive the December 2020 security patch, and only a few days before January.

OnePlus is now launching OxygenOS 1

0.5.10 to the north, the internal version number for India is 10.5.10.AC01DA, the internal version number for Europe is 10.5.10.AC01BA, and the other places are 10.5.10.AC01AA. The main change in all regions is the inclusion of Android’s December security patch level, which was launched on Google’s Pixel phones on December 7. The complete change log is as follows.

  • Update Android security patch to 2020.12
  • Update GMS package to 2020.09
  • Regular bug fixes and higher stability

Nord owners in India will get an extra surprise: the OnePlus Store app is pre-installed. The company stated that the app can be uninstalled, but more bloatware is usually not a good thing. OxygenOS 10.5.10 is being rolled out gradually, but you can use OxygenUpdater to get it in advance.
