OnePlus 6 looks like a winner, working on 5T issues

OnePlus 6 was one of the most anticipated smartphone launches of the year. Available from $ 529, the OnePlus 6 continues the company's tradition of delivering world-class hardware specifications and features at an aggressive price.

Display

The OnePlus 6 is the company's first phone with a Notch display. On the paper you have a 6.28-inch screen, OLED panel, 19: 9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. The OLED screen delivers vivid colors and deep blacks. You can remove buttons on the screen and use the Gesternavigation to enjoy the full screen on the phone. However, the Notch display is not something new, we've already seen it on devices from Oppo, Vivo and Huawei, which are available in India. Like the Huawei P20, the OnePlus 6 also comes with the option to hide the notch area, which is possible thanks to the OLED screen.

Design

OnePlus 6 comes with some prominent design changes. The most notable after the score cut display is the glass back wall. All colors of the OnePlus 6 are now supplied with a glass surface ̵

1; the Mirror Black has a glossy finish, while the Midnight Black has a matte finish. The dual camera position has also been changed by the OnePlus 5T – the cameras now sit in a vertical stack in the center of the phone above the fingerprint scanner. The ring modifier slider was moved to the right side of the phone (it was always on the left side, to the OnePlus 5T). Thankfully, OnePlus 6 still comes with a 3.5mm audio jack. Overall, the OnePlus 6 is the same size as the OnePlus 5T, but with a larger screen and more premium looks.

<p><strong> Hardware </strong><br />
<br /> You get the best Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, Adreno 630 graphics, and a 3,300mAh battery. For RAM and memory, the phone comes in three variants – 6 GB of RAM with 64 GB of memory, 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB of memory and 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of memory. Like the previous OnePlus phones, the OnePlus 6 does not have a microSD slot for memory expansion. Other specifications include dual SIM slot, USB type C port with fast charging support, WiFi AC, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and NFC.

Software

OnePlus 6 comes with the company's Oxygen OS, which is almost free of Android and Bloat. We liked the fact that the Oxygen OS is based on the OnePlus 6 on Android 8.1 and is equipped with the latest May security patch. There are no pre-installed apps apart from the OnePlus Community App. For the score, OnePlus has updated the UI with the option to enable / disable the notch and control which apps run in full-screen mode. You also get the option to have the navigation bar set or hidden. At the I / O 2018 Developers' Congress, Google announced that OnePlus 6 is one of the first phones to be upgradeable to Android P Beta OS – interested users can upgrade their OnePlus 6 to Android P as soon as they receive it.

<p><strong> Camera </strong><br />
<br /> While the camera setup on paper remains the same as OnePlus 5T – 16MP + 20MP with aperture f1.7, some improvements have been made to the camera. First, it has a larger sensor for improved low-light images. The second and most important is that the OnePlus 6 is equipped with OIS (optical image stabilization), which was missing in the previous mobile phones. This reduces the blur by handshake and helps even in low light. We noticed that the portrait mode has greatly improved and the overall picture results are also fantastic. OnePlus 6 is also capable of shooting slow-motion video at 480 frames per second at 720p HD resolution and 4k video at 60 frames per second. On the front is a 16MP camera with aperture f2.0 and auto HDR function.

<p><strong> Conclusion </strong><br />
<br /> From the limited time we've spent on the OnePlus 6, it looks like OnePlus has a winner in their hands. The phone takes care of all the complaints we had about the OnePlus 5T and has a premium design with the latest hardware. The price for India is not yet known, but we expect it to start at Rs 35,000.</p><div><script async src=
