Hampstead, Texas (KBTX)-The Christmas Eve house explosion in Hampstead hospitalized a patient.
At around 10:20 on Thursday night, the authorities received a call requesting a house explosion in the 1300 block of Fifth Street.
The Waller County Fire Marshal’s Office stated that one house was destroyed in the explosion and two other nearby buildings were also damaged by debris.
Investigators said the homeowner was injured in the explosion and was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital for burns.
The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
The bombing was responded to by the Hempstead Fire Department, Waller County Fire Marshal Office, Prairie View Fire Department, Waller County EMS, Hempstead Police Department and other local first responders.
