Syracuse, New York-The New York State Fair in Syracuse is one of several Covid-19 mass vaccination sites that opened in New York this week.
The venue of the exhibition center, as well as other venues at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City and the Westchester County Convention Center in White Plains, will open on Wednesday.

According to a tweet from Melissa DeRosa, assistant to Governor Andrew Cuomo, a venue in the Utica Memorial Auditorium will open next week.
Other locations open this week include Jones Beach in Nassau County on Thursday, and the location at the State University of New York at Albany on Friday.
More attractions to open next week include the State University of New York at Stony Brook on Long Island, the State University of New York at Binghamton in Johnson City, the Dome near Rochester, Plattsburgh Airport, the State University of New York at Potsdam, Buffalo South Campus University and the aqueduct circuit in Queens.
With the expansion of Covid-1
Starting today, millions of people will be helped, including police, firefighters, teachers and other educators, as well as people aged 75 and over. Medical staff and nursing home residents are already eligible for several weeks of training.
As the total number of vaccinations expands to about 5 million people, thousands of pharmacies, doctor’s offices and local health departments will soon begin to provide vaccines. Since December, Onondaga County has been vaccinating people at the Syracuse War Memorial in the city center.
A new state website went live this morning, allowing qualified New Yorkers to search for vaccine sites. An appointment is required.

Governor Andrew Cuomo warned that unless the federal government can increase supplies, it will be difficult to obtain shooting opportunities. He said that last week New Yorkers may have to wait weeks or months if no more vaccines are produced and shipped to New York.
