A new COVID-19 vaccine clinic was opened in the Dimond Center shopping mall this week, which means that vaccinations can now be given in Anchorage on any day of the week without requiring an appointment.
The clinic is operated by Visit Healthcare at 800 E. Dimond Blvd., Suite 199, located in the shopping mall opposite Ulta Beauty. Appointments and appointments can now be made between 10 am and 8 pm, 7 days a week.
According to Heather Aronno, a spokesperson for the city’s emergency management office, the Diamond Center’s business is the only large vaccination clinic in Anchorage that is open on a regular basis.
According to the Vaccine Portal, as of Friday morning, there will be more than 6,200 public appointments in the Anchorage area over the next eight days. The number of vaccinators in the area is large, but not all.
You can visit covidvax.alaska.gov or call 907-646-3322 to make a vaccine appointment. New appointments are added regularly. The telephone line works from 9 am to 6:30 pm on weekdays, and from 9 am to 4:30 pm on weekends.
State health officials said this week that the pace of vaccinations across the state has slowed, and they are trying to make it easier for Alaskans to get vaccinated by gradually getting rid of the need for appointments.
