Nicki Minaj has no problem playing the "bad boy".
The motto of the Met Gala of 2018 was "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Fantasy," but the "Chun-Li" rappers came seemingly to fuel a bit of hell – and told ET all about their vicious ensemble.
"The look is Oscar de la Renta, so I'm very excited and it's about being the bad guy," she told ET's Keltie Knight on the red carpet Monday. "I'm the bad guy, b *** h, so I'm dressed like hell."
Minaj used the term "bad guy" earlier – when she was discussing her feud with Cardi B. After both rappers appeared on Migos' song "MotorSport", rumors had started that there was bad blood when Cardi Minaj condemned her verse on the trail. In her last interview in Zane Lowe's Beats 1 Show, Minaj admitted that she was upset by Cardi's comments.
"It hurt me to know that people would watch me slaughter and not enter a person to tell the truth." They will run with the lie, they will allow people to run with the lie because entertaining is to make Nicki appear like the bad guy … until this recent interview that she did, I had never shown her real love in an interview.
Once in the Met Gala, however, it seems that Minaj also felt "real love" when she was photographed and chatted with Cardi.
Whether her lecture was enough to work together again in the future is another story.
"The album will be released on June 15 and is named Queen ," Minaj ET told her upcoming album, revealing that she has "one or two collaborations that I'm looking forward to."
"I feel like a queen," she added.
