New vaccine registration system: County fully adopts the state’s “MyTurn” platform. This is how to register | The Lost Coastal Outpost

From the Humboldt County Joint Information Center:

Humboldt County is currently using California’s “My Turn” platform for COVID-19 vaccination notification and planning.

“My Turn” is an online system that allows residents to check eligibility and book vaccination appointments locally when available. All counties must adopt this new platform to continue to receive COVID-19 vaccine distribution from the state as part of an effort to increase the pace of vaccine distribution and management.

As part of this transition, the online “vaccine interest form” in Humboldt County will no longer be used.

  • If you filled out the interest form but did not receive a dose of COVID-19 vaccine, Submit your information through MyTurn (MyTurn.ca.gov) to be notified of eligibility and register for an appointment.
  • If you have received the first two doses of the vaccine from the public health department and need a second dose, please do not use “My Turn”. You should receive a second appointment invitation from the public health via email five to seven days before the start of the clinic. If you received the first dose from another service provider in Humboldt County, that service provider will contact you to arrange a second dose.
  • If you have not received a dose of COVID-19 vaccine, Please visit MyTurn.ca.gov to learn more about eligibility, schedule appointments and receive updates on available appointments and locations. Starting this week, public health clinics will register on My Turn. In the next few weeks, more Humboldt service providers will transition to “My Turn” for the first dose appointment.

“My Transfer” requires users to schedule appointments for the first and second doses at the same time. Please note that rescheduling missed second-dose appointments through the state government system can be very difficult, and residents should carefully choose the appointment time to ensure that they receive both doses of the vaccine within the recommended 42 days.

The system also requires an email address or mobile phone. Those who cannot access email or mobile phones or have questions about “My Turn” can call 1-833-422-4255 (California, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 8 pm, Saturday to Sunday, morning 8 am to 5 pm), call the California COVID-19 hotline. ).

For general information, questions about the appointment of the second dose or assistance in this new process, please call the Humboldt County Joint Information Center from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm at 707-441-5000 .
