NBA Playoffs 2018: Watch Warriors vs. Rockets Game 1, Series Schedule, TV Channel, Online Stream

It's the match-up we've wanted since July, and it's finally here. The Rockets and Warriors meet in the Western Conference Finals with a trip to the NBA Finals on the line.

Stephen Curry is officially back from the injury because the defending champions are trying to pass a Houston team led by James Harden and Chris Paul, who cruised to a league-top 65 wins in the regular season. Yes, that's the most compelling series we could hope for.

We all know the stars, but the support models will be huge in this series. Curry and Paul can go on strike, while Harden and Klay Thompson do the same, and these games are won around. However, there are some X-factors that could make the fight in color a compelling part of this series.

It feels like the whole season has led to it. Both teams are among the best in the NBA. It will be a blow.

Rockets win if …

They continue to shoot like the best shooting team in the NBA and Harden plays as the best player in the series. The thing with the Warriors is that you have to work incredibly hard to keep up with the scoring. The Rockets may be the only team in the NBA eligible to do so. With Paul, Harden and Ariza, they have three boys who can shoot, in addition to Paul's relief on the offensive. They also need to mitigate Green's indeterminate impact on warriors, who have spent a lot of time on Golden State this season, doing what the pelicans can not and finding a solution for Durant.

Warriors win if …

They are able to play home early in this series. With 15 consecutive victories at Oracle, the Warriors Crowd has a way to bring runs into cascade. The Pelicans learned this first-hand. The Golden State must also dominate the third quarter. This team is the best third-quarter team in the NBA, and that needs to continue. The last key is to keep Harden off the line. Each team is frustrated with the free-throw numbers from Harden, so it will depend on Green and, to a lesser extent, Durant to limit it. Thompson, who keeps Harden on the sidelines, will be a big part of this series.
