NASA’s Mars helicopter needs a software update before flight testing

After reviewing data from previous tests, the team behind NASA’s Ingenuity helicopter developed a plan to prepare it for flight on Mars. When its flight test schedule is still pending, the team is modifying and reinstalling the helicopter’s flight control software to deal with the “command sequence problem.”

We may all have one or two software installed, but these software have not been wirelessly transmitted at a speed of more than 174 million miles to the first aircraft that attempted a powered flight on another planet. It is foreseeable that the team will test the new software here first, and then upload the new software, and hopes to schedule more testing dates next week.
