Morocco has plans to purchase 65 million doses of coronavirus vaccines from China and the United Kingdom because the country plans to immunize 80% of the adult population.
The Associated Press reported on Friday that Moroccan officials said China would use Sinopharm and the British AstraZeneca vaccine.
Health Minister Khalid Ait Taleb (Khalid Ait Taleb) made the announcement for the first time at a cabinet meeting on Thursday.
The Ministry of Health said on Friday that the country has not yet received the vaccine.

The Associated Press reported that Morocco’s goal is to vaccinate 25 million of the country’s 36 million people for free under the order of King Mohammed VI. The country will first implement vaccine management for medical staff, public authorities, security agencies, educators and patients with chronic diseases.
Morocco reported the second highest number of coronavirus cases in Africa, after South Africa. According to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University, Morocco has reported 428,000 cases and more than 7,000 deaths.
